Default Multiplayer????

Yeah that's right. Multiplayer is almost here. We are looking for 8 DEDICATED alpha testers to help us get out the kinks in Phase 1. I have set up an extra option in the Contact Us form. Use it if you'd like to be one of these alpha testers. Tell us why you'd make a good tester and how you could help us get the bugs out. It doesn't have to be long, just short and to the point. Keep in mind testing might take a bit of time so if you don't have much free time please leave the position for someone else who does.

We will be having additional phases with more people being added to test. It is first come first serve. The first people with valid reasons will be chosen. We promise you will love this new feature to Keybeat and the testing will be well worth-it.

Edit: Keep in mind in the first few phases that the reported errors should be solely performance-based. Don't suggest or report anything pertaining to interface.
Edit 2: Phase 1 has now begun. You may continue to apply for later phases if you wish :]

if kbo gets a multiplayer chatroom lobby, can it be linked to an irc channel, like how osu! has #osu ?

We needed a small number for Phase 1. Phase 2 and up will have more.

We need to address simpler problems first, so it's better if we keep the server with a low charge.
We'll do charge tests on a later stage.

Will there be a leveling system or something simliar to that like in FFR but more accurate? If so, i think it would be a pointless idea. Also will there be an option to play on a solo screen rather than having to share a screen with the person you're playing against?

You won't share screens, thats annoying and doesn't make any sense because you're not playing on the same computer. Anyway you will still be able to tell if you're ahead or not.

Okay that's good. I wonder if it'll be like stepmania where it shows how well the opponent is doing when it comes to combo and letter grade. I actually find that distracting since people tend to constantly see how well he/she is doing. I would hope they will have an option to turn the stats off or have an alternate way to know if you're ahead the opponent by something less distracting.

Like for example: Someone making a detailed circle at the right corner or something and when the light turns red, it means that you're losing but when it turns green, you're winning. Or maybe there could be more colors when you start a song like as you're AAAAing the song, the light will remain white and when you hit a perfect, it'll turn to blue and when you hit a great, it will turn either red or green depending if you're winning or losing or something along that matter.

This is why we're having testers. The later phases will be for optimizing the features :]

why don't you just use dp percentage instead i think the point is to see if youre winning or losing and if both players are aaaing the song you can't.
